Firm, sturdy, chiseled on the finish. 2 hours later: Opening, showing off more of the rich fruit kernel on the nose. Filling out on the palate, powerful, with fine green apple flavors, excellent viscosity and length. Day 2: Just 1/3 of a bottle left -- we weren't sufficiently patient -- now opening into much more of a concentrated mouthful of Chardonnay. Not sweet, but honed. Not opulent, more tightly wound and mineral. This will age forever -- if you're willing to wait."
