Tasting Notes from the WineAccess Travel Log 2009 Carl Roy Chardonnay South Side Cuvee "Pale green in color. Lively aromas of ripe green apple and pear, touched with new wood. Rich and sturdy on the palate, the kind of superb cool climate Chardonnay that has plenty of concentration, but doesn't want to show off too fast. Slowly opens, filling out, with a wonderful rich core of ripe apple fruit. Fine, firm finish with excellent persistence. This wine really speaks of the fog, the cool climate and the superb hillside Chardonnay grape sources of Southern Napa in 2009."
